‘Sneholsavam 2014’ a day for the boys and girls of nearby orphanages, was conducted in Don Bosco schools Irinjalakuda on 08th February 2014. Two hundred children from various houses in the locality were present for the event. The day was begun with a short prayer and Rev. Fr. Thomas Poovelikal (Rector & Manager, Don Bosco Schools Irinjalakuda) inaugurated the function. Children were divided into different groups and were animated well in the morning session. The day was filled with lots of games, singing, dancing, creative art and fine performance from the part of students. The variety entertainments presented by the little ones were enjoyable and thought provoking. All the functional groups of the Salesian family were present for the program. The whole School community joined in this venture through their little contributions such as books, pencils, pens, soaps and other stationary items that are useful to these children. It was an eye opening program to many of our boys and girls who were volunteering in this. It was heartening to see the children going back happy with lots of gifts and fresh memories of a happy day, shouting slogans in honor of Don Bosco.
